A new member to the family '55 f100

So my wife has always said if she were to drive a classic her first choice would be a 1969 Shelby 500 KR in a metallic green color with white interior. Well if you watch Barrett Jackson you know what that snake costs, maybe one day but not today. So her number two choice is a 1953-1956 Ford F100. Last week a stumbled on an auction that led this sweet little ride south. Thanks Tim for an awesome deal and great little project.

The best thing about this hobby is having friends and family grow in the hobby and passion with you. Congratulations wife you own the oldest car in our collection

.....better watch out love the kids look like they are trying to steal your truck!!

So after parts were ordered, mechanic got freed up and we were able to schedule an appointment at the chassis shop work has finally began. When we purchased this red beauty I thought it was more of a driver. After further inspection the subframe that was welded in prior was suspect and thought it needed to be dealt with first. So a mustang II front subframe with rack and pinion steering, tubular A arms with coil over shocks and 11" disc was ordered. The motor which is fantastic was pulled along with the leaky transmission.

New crossmember for subframe going in hopefully soon she will be road worthy

And the build goes on and on and on
And the money keeps going as well!!
But we are getting some where now

New lower stance makes the truck look
Wider and lower thanks to Dave the chassis guy! Great work out of Ocoee Fl

So what did we do next?
Of course dismantel more of the truc...
Why? To spend more money😥

Jamie and Steve over at Cliff's in Orlando are doing the majority of the labor in the engine bay. Smoothed and filled firewall and painted engine bay and chassis hot rod black. Next we have new inner fenders going on with lots of new engine
Upgrades: including electronic ignition, performer intake, edlebrock car,
Headers and lots more.

Just purchased 15" chrome steelies and 3" white wall radials because that's what the wife wants on her ride.

A Heep I mean Jeep CJ5

We picked up this gem as an investment for restore and flip but from time to time we fall in love with a flipper. Actually Cody's fiancé is a jeep girl and she fell in love so now it is staying with our family

All original 1979 CJ5 renegade with a 304 V8 and 3 speed on the floor

This was the day we picked her up

Then restoration

Get the point some cutting welding and sanding

We decided to go with prowler orange exterior, black accents, flat fenders, rear metal fenders, rocker sliders, full cage, stinger bush guard, new seats front and back, nice stereo, new lights all around

Will post more pics but have to get them off camera

Next is new tires and suspension along with brakes.
