The beginning..........

I am a product of the 80's so my mother and father had muscles cars and big trucks along with motorcycles. My father grew up wrenching and racing cars and never grew up.......I can remember my Dad coming home with a new vehicle regularly and sometimes they would go as quickly as they came. He had Chevelles, Vettes, Camaros mostly when I was around but earlier they also had Mopars. A Road Runner, Cuda, Javelin and Chargers.

My love for cars came at a very early age. When I was looking for my first car as a teenager I could not afford a real muscle car but I stayed in the Classic Era and purchased a 73 Super Beetle, 2nd car was a 66 Beetle Custom, then a 79 CJ7 Jeep.

It was not until 2006 when my brother and I decided to get a real muscle car. The last real muscle my family owned was a 68 Chevelle SS 396 CONVERTIBLE, Black on Black 4 speed. I know what you are all thinking..."MAN WHAT I WOULD DO FOR THAT CAR TODAY". Yea me too.

My brother and I began the search of a lifetime when we finally found her....!!!!

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle 396 "SS" real "138 car"

She was everything we wanted! Very clean. Not a show car but a very nice driver that we could turn into a show car.

We first pulled the motor of course after running it pretty hard.....
Fully rebuilt it and upgraded with a roller cam, roller rockers, forge pistons and all the goodies. Leaving the original heads and look of the motor. Installed MSD ignition with rev control. AudioSounds custom digital stereo that retains stock look. Most recently she has been restored and painted along with a new gas tank and shocks. This car is a real head turner and a strong runner. She will be in the collection forever. I need to shoot some new pictures with the new paint and post them. You will get more pictures in future posts.
